We consider one of our most important aims is ensuring that our users are aware of the thousands of learning and training opportunities available throughout our region.
To enable us to do this we maintain a database of Learning opportunities at courses.northwestworkplace.com that cover the entire region. We encourage all providers of learning and training opportunities to place information regarding their provision on our site.
There are many reasons why our Learning Providers have chosen to advertise their courses on Northwest Workplace - here's a list of the benefits we offer:
- Wide coverage across the whole of the North West region via the internet and Digital Interactive TV (DiTV).
Northwest Workplace now enjoys over 3 million hits per month. Introduction to DiTV in early 2002 increased the statistics substantially and ensured that our providers were able to reach potential students who were unable to access information via the web.
- Direct Input Facilities
We give our providers access to our database via a password-protected system, enabling them to input and maintain their data at their own convenience. We also try to assist providers with large amounts of data by transferring information into our system from access databases or spreadsheets.
- Training, Backup and Support
We train and retrain our providers until they are confident in using the system. We back this training up by providing support via email and telephone should anyone need help or advice.
- Providers facilities
There are many facilities offered to providers using Workplace, these include:
- Easy to use on-line application facilities
- Statistical information to tell you how many times each course has been viewed
- News and events board for you to advertise your events
What do we expect in return?
All the services we offer to our providers are free of charge. All we expect from our providers in return is their commitment to maintain accurate and up to date information on our database.
